'There is a cure'
Luke 13:10-17
1. How did the synagogue ruler stumble over Jesus' action?
Jesus healed a crippled woman on a sabbath day but indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath."
The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"
When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
John 15:1-8
2. How do we become spiritually fruitful?
Remain in Christ, and He will remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Christ. If a man remains in Christ and Christ in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Christ you can do nothing.
If you remain in Christ and His words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to the Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be Christ's disciples.
