The good news is...

Mark 14:3-9

1. Why may it be good for us to be broken?

The poor woman has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint Jesus' body for burial. Therefore, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.

God will see our hearts and give us credit.

John 12:23-26

2. What principle did Jesus explain?

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. A willing heart must die to himself in order for life to spring off.

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Jesus, let him follow Jesus; and where He is, there His servant will be also. If anyone serves Jesus, him My Father will honor.

Dying to live, losing to gain.
