'The fear of the Lord'
Proverbs 16:6; Acts 18:1-3
1. What causes us to avoid evil?
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
2 Thess. 3:6-13
2. How and why did Paul support himself?
They worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that would not be a burden to any.
They did this, not because they do not have the right to such help, but in order to make themselves a model for others to follow.
If a man will not work, he shall not eat. Thus, never tire of doing what is right.
